Job Summary

Lead Cook is an entry level supervisory position that can operate all kitchen equipment and produce any products on the menu. Leadership skills and expediting ability are a must.  

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up kitchen
  • Restocking and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen area
  • Expediting and Dressage of food products
  • Operation of all kitchen equipment and tools
  • Breakdown and clean-up of kitchen
  • Washing dishes, pots and pans related kitchen production
  • Ability to make all coffee/tea products as well as most beverages
  • Ability to set up and dressage area of kitchen as well as barista area
  • Ability to produce all products from recipe
  • Ability to plate all food products to specification
  • Basic inventory recording and management
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
  • Sanitize all cleaning tools including mops, brooms, etc, at end of shift
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests and fellow staff members
  • Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
  • Assist with Scheduling and training of Cooks and Dishwasher
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

  • Ability to follow recipes and culinary procedures

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Servsafe food handler certificate
  • Food and Beverage service experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to stand for prolonged periods
  2. Able to climb stairs
  3. Able to walk kitchen and service public areas
  4. Able to twist, bend, reach and pull
  5. Able to lift up to 50 pounds
